A STRATEGIC FUTURE
The DOD SkillBridge program is a unique initiative designed to help Service members transition smoothly into civilian careers by providing them with hands-on experience through industry-specific training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of their military service. This program serves as a vital bridge, connecting Service members with industry partners and enabling them to acquire practical skills in real-world job environments.
At The ASCEND Collective, we enhance the SkillBridge experience by focusing on a comprehensive foundation for successful transition. Our approach includes:
Tailored Training Programs: We collaborate with industry experts to offer customized training that aligns with current job market demands, ensuring Service members gain relevant skills.
Mentorship and Networking: We connect Service members with mentors in their desired fields, fostering valuable professional relationships and networking opportunities that can lead to job placements.
Career Coaching: Our team provides one-on-one coaching sessions to help Service members refine their skills story, prepare for interviews, and develop effective job search strategies tailored to their unique strengths.
Workshops and Resources: We offer workshops on essential soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, and leadership, which are crucial for success in civilian workplaces.
Post-Program Support: Our commitment doesn’t end with the internship. We provide ongoing support to help Service members navigate the transition into full-time civilian employment, ensuring they have the resources they need for long-term success.
