February is one of my favorite months. First because it’s my birthday month and second because of “love” day which is what I refer to for Valentine’s Day. Not everyone has a “valentine”, but everyone can have someone to love or someone who loves them. I have so much love in my life from family, friends, peers, colleagues, mentors and my team here at Talents ASCEND.
That leads me to our topic for the month: passion.
As an entrepreneur, my passion is to help people. I love to see people succeed, be it a business owner, a candidate, a staff member or partner. Our passion gives us the energy to make our dreams come true. Without passion, we lack the motivation to do something and with passion, we can get through the pain of doing something. It drives us to achieve our goals and to keep going even when the road is long and rocky.
I often hear people comment that I exude passion when I talk about Talents ASCEND or my grand cherubs. I love what I get to do every day and call it work. I am blessed beyond measure with the life I have. Has it been easy, no sir. Is it worth it, YES!, ma’am!! My passion to make a skills-based hiring model, the new future, has helped me overcome obstacles and truly fuels me forward. My passion to build a legacy and create a more equitable employment model for generations to come is my energy.
